Description of service
I took it into my mechanic to check the brakes, since they felt odd. While I was there, it was time for the oil to be changed and I wanted to see if it needed a tune up, since I could not remember when it was last done. I also asked him how to fix left side of my front bumper, which due to a minor accident, stuck out a little. He changed the oil and filter, checked the brakes and replaced the s nut and bolt on the bumper. he said I did not need a tune up.
All in all, the only things he charged me for was the oil, a total of $18 and the air filter, which was $5.00. There was a minor amount of tax, but that was it. His prices included labor.
Review of Service
I have been going to this mechanic for many years now, and I have always been impressed by his honestly and quality of work, which is very high.
Tips
Make sure you know what services you need and the possible prices up front for those services. Have the amount be broken down by labor and materials. Also, make sure any additional work that needs to be done is approved by you beforehand. This will avoid any misunderstandings in the future. Even with a trusted mechanic, this will protect you both, in case something goes wrong.
