Description of service
The service was an oil change done by the neighbor's kid. The $25 covered the cost of the labor, the oil, and the oil filter.
As neighborhood kid and, really, an aspiring mechanic, he doesn't offer many services yet
Review of Service
The kid was a bit clumsy at the whole thing, leaving a lot of tool marks around the drain plug and the oil filter, but it didn't really hurt anything as it's a cheap bike. And it did take him a while, as he wasn't familiar with the bike and this was the first time he'd done an oil change without supervision.
The service also cost a few bucks less than having it done at a lube shop (though more than double it'd cost doing it myself), and it gave a local kid a chance to make some money doing something he enjoyed.
The bike ran just fine after the oil change. No leaks, no smoke. I'm satisfied.
Tips
Regardless of what kind of vehicle you have, when you get the oil changed, make sure they changed the oil filter at the same time. Not only does it hold a lot of old oil, but a plugged up one can reduce mileage and even starve the engine of oil.
