Description of service
The service was for rhinoplasty (or a nose job). This was done at the hospital instead of a private plastic surgeon. This service was an outpatient procedure.
Review of Service
This was a couple of years ago. What I remember is that it went pretty quickly and smoothly. I don't remember exactly how long I was in the operating room, but it was not that long. I could hear the doctors because I was awake the entire time. They used anesthesia to numb the nose, but not my entire body. Overall, I am pleased with the service. I had a much wider nose, and I went there to make it smaller. There was swelling for many months before I saw much of a difference. Actually, they did not take out too much. In fact, they told me that a lot of people come back a second time because they don't take out as much because it is easier to take out than it is to put back if they take out too much. I am not going back a second time, though. The pain was not bad. They gave me a prescription pain medicine which helped with that.
Tips
I have seen horror stories on television about plastic surgery gone bad. I feel very fortunate that I don't have a horror story to tell. But, the tip I would give people is to choose the doctor wisely. Do a reference check, ask other people who they would recommend, check credentials and everything you can think of.
