Last February I had a problem with my range oven. I called an appliance repair man who charges fifty dollars to make a house call. This fee is on top of any other charges that may apply. The problem with my oven was that it needed a new blower for the vent. The cost of the blower was $145. The repair man charges $50 an hour for installment which took two hours. The taxes are 10% which came to $39.50. The total cost for the job was $434.50.
Review of Service
The repair man I called works for an agency. That is why he had to charge $50 to show up. He suggested I call him at home the next time I need a reapair and he may be able to work with me on the price. All in all I would say I am satisfied with the service.
Tips
If you have an appliace that is not working it is well worth calling a repair man instead of buying a new model. My oven would cost over $1,000 to replace. Try to find a repair man you can trust that does not work for an agency and you may get a better deal on the repair cost.
