Description of service
I recieved the phone with a wall charger, a book about what kind of features my phone had, additional offer booklets and 300 airtime minutes. It was a no contract phone service for 10 cents a minute nation wide. It included voice mail, call waiting and text messages were 5 cents per text message to recieve or send a message. and if I had relatives in Canada or Mexico they would issue me a number that they could call so they wouldnt have to dial out of the country. I recieved the 300 airtime minutes as part of a promotion.
Review of Service
I was looking for a phone for my 8 year old daughter something that wasnt on contract and reaonably priced. I was pleased with the phone it was very useable for an eight year old. It wasnt complicated and had just as many features as my contract phone. The buttons on the phone were not big but were not so small that you would hit more then one button if you were making a call. It took 15 minutes for me to set up the phone service, which seemed pretty reasonable and I had the option to do it online or to call the 800 number. The service was quite well and my daughter has yet to have a dropped call, which is great because I dont want to wonder what happened if she lost a call while I was speaking to her.
Tips
When looking for prepaid service make sure that it is useable in your area, find out if roaming charges apply if you leave your home area and try to find one that all rates are the same, no matter where you are, where you call or who calls you.
