Description of service
The prepaid service I subscribe to gives me one year of service and double minutes every time I add time on. It allows a user to choose how many minutes they want to purchase. They gave me free upgrade to a digital phone when they discontinued their analog service. I pay 80 dollars for 800 minutes.
Review of Service
The service is excellent. I've only had a problem once and they fixed it for me immediately. Coverage is top notch. My area is notorious for limited coverage so service phones are almost useless. Prepaid phones work on all towers, thus increasing coverage. You may not get as many goodies like caller ID or picture sending, but it is great coverage and texting works fine too. They also do not offer unlimited calling. That is the one drawback. 400 minute cards cost around 79 dollars, with the double minute plan thats 800 minutes for 79 which come out to less that 10 cents a minute.
Tips
When shopping for a prepaid plan, buying minutes in bulk will bring the price per minute down considerably. Make sure the plan you are considering has a 24 hour customer service call center. Most digital phones will work in almost any area, but there are still a few places with only analog. Check your area before buying. Most times you can keep your phone number when switching phones.
