In February, we had the tv network satellite repair come to our home as we were experiencing major problems with the service. We were charged for travel and repair but not for materials. Cost for travel was $90.00 and the remainder for services. Their total time here was less than an hour. The cable connect was improperly installed the first time. So they had to reinstall everything in the house,
Review of Service
The service man did a great job of getting it restored correctly and even showed us how to program it. Therefore I consider the quality of service excellent. What is not good is that it takes a good amount of time to get the repair people to your home. And the cost should be nothing as a monthly service fee is paid.
Tips
There is really not much you can do if you have the service as they have their own service contracts. But be sure to understand the contract. When you call for a repair try to talk to the repair people before having them come out. It may be something you could do to fix the problem. Also, check if you have neighbors that may a problem and you could split the travel cost with them. Sometimes the companies will allow this. It saves them time and you costs. Be sure to write your problems down to discuss when the repair people arrive.
