the Cost of Local Movers

I was moving from apartment to apartment and honestly, I am getting to old to keep moving all this heavy furniture by myself. However, i did get creative in manipulating the items to actually by moved by one person. So I decided to look into a moving company to do the job. I had 200.00 cash at the time and not much more for my needs. I found one company which charged 325.00 for the move and another for 125.00. Of course, I chose the cheaper one like many would.

I tell ya, these guys were going down stairs with my things under each arm and my 37" TV balanced on his head. Holy cow! That is talent! They cleared my entire two bedroom apartment in less than one hour. The truck was loaded and we were on our way. Once we arrived, I put my trust in these guys thinking they were outstanding and let them unload while I was in the new apartment office. Oops on my part. Could I be any more dumb!? When I came back, I paid the guys and tipped them 25.00 each. I went inside to find that some of my belongins had been damaged and even STOLEN! I called the company and they said that I signed a form that said that they are not liable for any damages or stolen items.

Never "trust" someone you dont know.

Cheaper service is not always better service.

Dont allow access to your property to anyone unless you are there or you know this person REAL WELL.
