Description of service

I paid 35.00 for a cake decorating class at a local arts and crafts store. The class was on a Saturday morning and lasted for three hours. All the tools and supplies were provided, including the cakes (we used cup cakes). There was one instructor and 5 students in the class.

Review of Service

The service was good. The class started on time and ended on time which was nice because I had a baby sitter. The instructor was very nice and she really explained things well. We had photos to go by for everything we were making and she would make an example while we watched so we could see how it was really done. We made boarders, flowers and lettering. We used cupcakes which we could then take home with us. She asked if any of us had a particular reason for taking the class, like getting ready to decorate a birthday cake or wedding cake, and of course, some of us did, so she went over design ideas for birthdays and weddings.

Tips

When you sign up, ask what materials you need to provide. Ask what tools you have to purchase or bring, we didn't need to bring any but they did seem to want us to purchase a cake decorating kit when the class was over. Ask how many people will be in the class, I think smaller is better for something like this. Bring a friend if you can, I think it's more fun with two, then you can go in together on the tool kit and share it!
