Description of service

I pay $59.99 a month for internet service through my satellite provider. The internet is provided through a special satellite that was installed for free because I agreed to a two year contract. It is high speed internet at 2.5 mbps (they told me this is the fastest they offer), but is slow compared to other broadband options which can be up to 10 mbps.

Review of Service

The service is good. I have had to call into customer service a couple of times for some small issues and their customer service department is very nice and was very willing to help me out. If I had to rate their customer service department, I would give them a A - they were that good. The only thing that I don't like is the price. I have compared the $59.99 to other internet companies and the price I pay is by far the most expensive internet service. I'm okay with this, as long as I feel that i'm getting the best service, which is so far so good.

Tips

I know some people live out in the country and have to use satellite because cable and DSL won't reach them. If you are in the city, try going with DSL or cable first to save yourself some money, or there is always dial up which is really cheap, but also really slow.
