the Price of Hair Braiding

I took my step daugher to get her hair braided. Her hair is shoulder length and the salon said that it would be $40 for 15 braids. It took the stylist about an hour and a half to part and braid her hair. She had her hair braided tightly enough that it would not come down while she was sleeping or playing and not so tight that it would hurt her head. I gave a five dollar tip. The stylist supplied the rubber bands but I had to take my step daughter home and put my own beads on the ends of the braids.

I was happy with the way it turned out. The stylist didn't to any fancy designs, just straight back braids. The braids were small enough that I had no problem adding the beads. It lasted for about a week before it had to be taken down and washed. I would use this same stylist again.

Call and ask for pricing based on the type of braids you are looking for, microbraids are going to be much higher than just plain cornrows. Also, ask if they have beads and if it is extra for them to add them. If you are in a hurry to go somewhere, ask if you can bring your own beads and if it is extra for them to add them.
