Description of service
I was on vacation and had my hair braided at an outside stall. The cost was 50 dollars. I tipped 15 dollars for a total of 65 dollars.
Review of Service
The braiding came out great and it lasted for weeks so I would say that it was definitely worth the cost. However, I was unprepared for how long it would take. They said it might take a few hours but it ended up taking almost 6 hours.
Not only did that waste an entire day of my vacation, but I ended up feeling really bad. They can't make much money if it takes that long and they're only charging $50. I know that I have thicker hair than most but I would think with their experience, that they'd be able to give a better estimate as to how long it would take.
I was surprised that it didn't hurt. It was my first time having my hair braided like that and I'd been told that it would be painful. I did feel some gentle pressure but nothing close to pain.
Tips
Make sure you get a good idea of how long it will last. If you have thick hair, make sure that they actually inspect your hair before giving you an estimate.
