Description of service
After getting injured at work, I was ordered to take 16 weeks of physical therapy 3 times a week for my carpal tunnel and bilateral lateral epicondylitis. The price included 48 physical therapy sessions lasting 1 hour each. Therapy consisted of weight training, stretching, ice therapy, massage, and education on ergonomics.
Review of Service
The physical therapy I had was wonderful. It brought my pain level for my carpal tunnel down to a manageable level where I was off of prescription pain medication and only down to taking 2 Advil a day. It also "cured" by bilateral lateral epicondylitis, as in I had no more pain associated with it. The therapists were very polite and over the weeks we actually became almost like friends. Some of the therapy was painful and difficult to perform, but I was told that was to be expected in the course of getting better. I have been done with my therapy now for 2 years and feel that what I learned has kept my conditions in check.
Tips
I would recommend physical therapy for anyone with carpal tunnel or bilateral lateral epicondylitis. It helped me to avoid surgery to date for my carpal tunnel and relieved me of so much pain and stiffness. It also taught me new ways to live my life to keep this pain at bay and prevent the conditions from worsening. Definitely take the physical therapy route before considering any more invasive action.
