Description of service

I had rehabilitation for an ankle injury. The cost for the initial exam by the therapist was $175.00. The following appointments, which I had 2, was for the extensive rehab services. They were $250 each session.

Review of Service

Although the rehab workers were very nice, this was an extreme cost for something I received very little value of. I had an ankle injury which included my tendons and muscles. By the time I went to therapy, my ankle had been swollen for a month and was very sore. The initial consultation took less than 10 minutes. She asked a few questions and then rubbed an icy hot gel on it. I was shocked that it was such as short appointment. I was advised that I needed to come back in a week to have my actual therapy. I attended the first appointment a week later and we began the therapy. She also asked the same questions from the week earlier and then advised we would begin therapy. Therapy literally consisted of her handing me a hand out and telling me to move my ankle in different directions. This appointment lasted less than 20 minutes. She advised the next appointment would be more indepth. It wasn't. It was the same exact therapy as earlier. There was no manipulation or rubbing of the affected area. There was only a hand out and them telling me to move my foot right and then left. The most indepth exercise was them telling me to write my ABC's with my foot.

Tips

I would advise researching the rehabilitation place before going there. I would also check the internet to see if there is rehab you can do from home first, especially if it is a minor injry.
