Description of service
I went to see a physical therapist at my HMO for TMJ (jaw pain) symptoms and upper back pain. The $10 was the copay. He examined me and looked at old x-rays before he gave me some exercises to do. The physical therapist demonstrated all the exercises for me, had me try them, and then gave me a photocopied packet of instructions for the exercises. I was supposed to go back and see him but the pain pretty much resolved itself so I never went back.
Review of Service
He was good - recommended by a friend and not too friendly but professional and competant. I'm not sure I would have liked him as a friend but he was a great physical therapist and not afraid to get down on the floor and show me what to do. I wasn't afraid to ask him any questions and I really trusted im to have the answers.
Tips
Physical therapists are a great resource but you often have to take the responsibility of asking your doctor about them. Many doctors are in such a hurry that it's easier to prescribe pain killers or something than give you some preventative treatment. This physical therapist helped me more than pain killers would have.
