Description of service
Physical therapy for a spinal fusion. My copayment was $20.00 for several visits and don't know what my insurance paid over and above that.
Review of Service
I don't beleive the quality of service was that great. I went in for physical therapy once a week for a few months. They would have me lay on heat for twenty minutes and also had me on a tens machine. After that they would do an ultrasound, give me exercises that was supposed to strengthen my neck and then the therapist would physically do stretching and put pressure on the areas with the pain. I finally had to ask after a dozen visits if they felt this was really going to help to which she replied I don't come in often enough for it to be doing much good. One would tend to think this should have been discussed in the very beginning how important it was for me to come in more than once a week but instead they let me do this without my knowledge of knowing it wasn't enough. I didn't find anything that was good about the service but everything that was wrong. I do not beleive for even just my copayment that it was a good price.
Tips
My advice to anyone else going through this is to sit down and have a clear conversation with the physical therapist on exactly what's going to work for you and the amount of time you will have to spend there to get what you need.
