I wanted to rent a 2-seater boat for an hour and as per my needs and requirements, the boat that i found the best was a 16 ft cape horn open. I paid $100 as advance deposit ($50 as rent and $50 as refundable security). Though initially i was denied the boat for an hour as they normally do not rent out a boat for less than 2 hours; but after some persuasion they agreed. It was a motor powered boat with 70HP engine.
Review of Service
The boat that i got was in extremely good condition. Along with the boat i got some additional items such as fish box, anchor, rod holders, etc. I don't think that the amount i had to pay for that service was justified simply because i thought it was too costly. Nevertheless, i received an amazing boat.
Tips
Firstly, go in for advance booking as that offers you a larger choice of boats and that too at a lesser price. Online booking might also help you in getting some extra discount.
Do some bargaining as these dealers are experts in extracting money from tourists. Do ask for the additional accessories if the dealer himself does not provide then; all such articles are included in the boat fare. Do return the boat on time to get back the amount paid as refundable security.
