I hired a 20ft ProSport Center Console boat in Marathon FL. I was charged $180 for the boat for a day. The boat had a yamaha 4 stroke engine. I paid $250 towards accident security. This was to be forfeited in case i was responsible for any damage done to the boat. The payment was made through credit card.
Review of Service
I was quite satisfied with the type of service i received.
The boat that i got was in a very good condition.
I had also got some amount of fuel along with the boat, though that was very less. I guess that i should have got some more fuel.
Also the engine of that boat started making making a lot of noise towards the end of the day.
Tips
During certain period of the year, a lot of discount is offered on boat rentals; do look for for such seasonal offers.
Carry travellers cheques or your credit card with you.
If possible, book the boat in advance. At the time of booking, do confirm that whether the tax is included in the rent or it has to be paid extra above the rent.
