Description of service
We rented a rowboat for the day. The cost was $50 but we also had to pay a $200 deposit that was refunded to us in full.
Review of Service
We wanted to go boating on a small lake near our relative's house. We had no idea how to work any kind of boat so we decided to rent a simple row boat. The man we rented it from was pretty rude to us. When we told him we'd never used a boat before he just laughed and didn't offer any advice. We ended up running into some other folks renting a row boat so they hung out with us for awhile and taught us how it was done.
The boating part was great. Once we figured out how to use the oars and the boat it was a breeze. We were amazed at how quickly we figured it all out. The day was great, we took a lunch and were able to bob around in the middle of the lake eating and talking. The boat was older but had been kept up very well.
Tips
Be prepared to have to put a refundable deposit down. Even with a credit card on file with them, we were required to put a deposit down.
