the Price of a Career Coach

I had a career coach give me detailed advice on the direction I should take career wise. We had one session that lasted about 45 minutes and the fee was a flat fee of $100.

Overall, this was a great experience. After I set up the appointment with the career coach I was given a long quiz that asked all kinds of questions about my background, education and interests. I was instructed to take the test to my assessment meeting with the career coach.

Once I was there, she went over everything on my test and gave me a few options for careers that might work well for me. She then went over some of the information on how I could go about pursuing those careers. She also let me know about resources she could help me with in the future, like helping to set up internships or help with writing resumes and interviewing. I did take her advice and am currently in school studying one of the careers we discussed. I now have a detailed plan and know exactly how to go about getting my dream job.

I thought this whole thing was very helpful and one of the most helpful aspects was that I was able to take the career inventory test at home. I think this is an important thing to look for, because it allows you to really take your time and relax while taking it.
