the Price of a Career Coach

So the fee for a one time meeting with a career coach was $200. This was a flat fee for seeing that man. I met with him for over 2 hours and discussed my goals and what I expected to do in my field. I also got lots of paperwork! I got maps that showed me where I was moving, I got a time-table chart and graphs as well as motivational quotes and paperwork about my area of specialty. I received general advice about how to move up in my industry and I got coaching on how to go about doing to with the obstacles that stood in front of me. It was recommended that I also get more education and training so that I could have better success.

Although it was very useful to have this career coach, it would have been more beneficial to find someone who was an expert in my field. Lots of my questions were either unanswered or answered with general and unprofound sentences. Some of the things I was told I most likely could have found online. It was great having someone there to confide in about my anxiety about work and who really seemed like he knew how to get ahead in life though.

I think searching online and self-motivation is all you need! Or atleast try a less expensive one that way you can work your way to the more expensive one.
