Description of service
A career coach and therapist who was covered under insurance for the most part. Different therapist have different areas of specialty and working under a physchologist may be required for insurance purposes.
Review of Service
This service was familiar to past therapists but was career oriented too. A combination of talk therapy and goals was effective for me as I would like to consider a job to do at home. I am disabled and so the therapist had experience with this though strength were emphasized. After seeing different kind of therapist I have concluded there are important differences. This therapy was also cognitive which is not always embraced by all in the profession. Medication is dependent on the patient's preference as far as working toward or away from it. Different approaches are used until one or a combination can seem effective.
Tips
The best case scenario is to get someone you work with best. Of course financial considerations play a part but it is worth paying for a career counselor. If you have an idea for a dream job with some reality attached but need a cheering squad, a career coach can do wonders. It is o.k. to get handholding at times and feedback on yourself.
