The service included on going consultations (at the above price per hour) and suggestions in regards to my career options, suggestions in connection with jobs I should apply for and also review of the work I've done so far in my professional experience. It also included a comprehensive apptitude test in order to determine my tendencies and preferences at the work places and in general. The test itself was $75 and was paid to an outside agency and not to the career coach directly.

The service was very helpful and revealed to me a lot about my habits and preferences at the workplace. It is still on going, but as I am advancing towards a more specific direction professionally, I am already working at a temporary job that is much more comfortable for me mentally and emotionally than most of the previous jobs I've had in the last few years. It's like therapy that is concentrated on your career, so if you've even done therapy and felt successful in accomplishing it you know that there's a significant, noticeable feeling of relief. The only disadvantage I can think of is the price which is not cheap. What's balancing this is the fact that salaries in New York City are higher in genral than they are in other cities, so a success in my career coaching sessions may mean a higher salary as well.
