Description of service

I signed my daughter up for a 6 week pottery class. The classes were an hour a piece and the total for the 6 weeks was $115. That included their materials.

Review of Service

I have mixed feelings about this. The pros, were that it was a very convenient. The community center where the classes were held is only a few buildings down from my daughter's school. There were several kids in her school that took the classes so a person from the community center would meet the kids at the school and walk them down to their class. That was a huge plus, and I also found the price to be extremely reasonable.

However, the classes were lacking. There were different instructors for the class each week, of varying ability. I don't really feel like my daughter learned much, though she did have fun and there was a lot of hands on work. One thing I really objected to was that in the choices of 'final projects' they had to make, one was an ashtray. I don't like the idea of my 10 year old making an ashtray. I thought that was a little inappropriate.

Tips

If you want a very intensive and comprehensive class, you'll likely have to pay more. If you want a class that's fun and hands-on, you can probably get one pretty cheap.
