Description of service

I paid $60 for three Saturday pottery classes for my younger sister. Each class was two hours long and the cost covered materials, paint and an apron. This class was held at the local community college and there were only 7 other kids in the class. The ages of the students varied from 8-13 years old. The first half hour was spent learning sculpting and painting skills and the rest of the time was used to make mugs, bowls and a vase.

Review of Service

My sister really enjoyed the pottery class. She said it was just enough time for her to learn some sculpting techniques and execute her new skills at the end of the class. The instructor was really nice and said she never allowed more than ten children per class so she could go around and review each of their work. I liked that my sister was learning a lot from her lessons and she was proud of her work. She learned really neat painting techniques and was excited to make something we could all use. I think it was well worth the price I paid. I wish the program was a little longer than just three weekends.

Tips

I suggest you ask beforehand what materials will be paid for in advance. I wanted to make sure my sister was prepared for her first lesson. Also dress your child in clothes that you wouldn't mind getting paint all over. They come back pretty messy.
