We just signed up for a new mobile phone plan and are happy with is so far. We got the least number of shared minutes possible on the family plan, because for the most part the only people my husband and I call are one another. We have an unlimited number of text messages, including video and picture messages. We are both able to choose 5 people that we can make unlimited calls to, which has cut down even further the number of minutes we use a month. The only problem I really have is that we don't ever use the minutes we're paying for, and they don't roll over to the next month, so I almost feel like I am wasting them, or scramble to make phone calls just to use them. The phones we got were 20 dollars a piece after rebates. The best part is that the payments come directly out of our checking account, so we never have to worry about making payments on time, because it's taken care of for us. The customer service of the company is good, though we had some problems when switching our land line number to the mobile phone.

First, make sure you're paying for the best number of minutes for you. Don't forget that almost every plan now days has free night and weekend minutes, cutting down on the number of minutes you're going to use. Also, a lot of companies allow you to get free calls to other people on the same company.
