In addition we receive 400 Domestic Messages for an additional $4.99 per month.
Review of Service
My husband and I are very pleased with this service, we have actually done away with a land line at home and solely use our cellular phones. Even with using or cells as our primary telephone we find that we have always fallen well below the 2000 anytime minutes that we purchased. Unfortunately, our particular plan does not have roll-over minutes and we found that we are paying for a lot of unused minutes.
Tips
Research, research, research! The best advice or tip that I can give would be to make sure that you know exactly what you are looking for. There are so many plans out there that it is easy to get talking with a salesperson and take a more expensive plan (like we did) and end up wasting a lot of money. If you are using your cell phone as your primary phone then you may want to consider the free mobile to mobile and which carrier or carriers your friends and family use, because most mobile to mobile is actually only with that specific carrier. Also, depending upon your needs you may want to spend a little extra up front on a package that includes the text messaging so that you don't have a huge bill to pay at the end of the month. On the other hand, if you are only looking for an "emergency" phone you may want to consider a pre-paid plan or a much smaller plan. Either way make sure that know exactly what you are looking for and how you plan to use your cell phone. Oh, and one last thing, make sure that you have reception were you will need it. It seems like common sense but you might be surprised.
