Description of service
I went to my chiropractor and asked her about getting on some good quality vitamins and minerals. To my surprise, she did not charge me any more than an office visit, even though I was there for an extra 25 minutes. We talked about the difference between synthetic vitamins and those that are made from food sources. Also we talked about herbs and minerals. There was no specific health condition, just a general overall support, but I was very surprised to know that there are certain vitamins for just about every health issue.
Review of Service
The quality of service I had was EXCELLENT. It was way beyond my expectaions. As I mentioned earlier, I got the info from my chiropractor, and she knew a lot more about vitamins than I thought! We did not talk about nutrition in the sense of cooking, dieting, and meal planning, but specifically giving your body good vitaimin sources. Since most of us eat poorly, it is important to get nutritional supplements elsewhere. She handed me a questionaire that had many many many questions on it. Apparently it was supposed to be analyzing my entire body functions, group by group. After I filled it out, she put it in a computer program and came back with a printout that told me what was going wrong in my body and then it automatically gives suggestions about what type of vitamins you should be on. I was fascinated! It was amazing how accurate it was! So I bought a few different kinds, totalling almost $50 for a month supply. Within 3 days I could tell a difference in the energy I had. I was also sleeping better and it was easier for me to get up in the mornings.
I am so happy I asked before I bought elsewhere!
Tips
For anyone thinking about going on some type of vitamin regime, DO NOT go to the local drug store and pic what sounds good to you or something you have seen on TV. Get a professional consultation from your chiropractor, massage therapist, or nutritionist. I asked my medical doc but he didn't want anything to do with it. People in the more "alternative fields" are a lot more open and understand the importance of it. The amount of money you will spend at a professional's office isn't that much more you would spend at the local store, and the advice they can give you is worth it's weight in gold!
Also, get on a whole food vitamin. I noticed the difference in days. If you are taking something containing man-made ingredients, it's not doing much for you. Do some research before you buy. And chances are, if you're buying your vitamins over the counter at discount stores, it's useless.
Also, try to find someone who does this computer program to analyze what your body needs. Honestly, I was amazed at how it worked. I feel so much better.
