Review of Service
When you think about having your back waxed, the last thing in the world that comes to mind is "relaxing." This particular experience, however, was as close as hair-pullingly possible. The room (an actual enclosed room with a real door that truly closed) was located upstairs -- away from the women with their hair in foil and their feet in little tubs -- giving a real sense of privacy. Burning aromatherapy candles and a nice little fountain in the corner of the room lent to the "zen" atmosphere. Having very coarse hair, being waxed is usually very painful. It was, at least this time, more than tolerable. Not bad, even. The skin care specialist said that it was because she uses high quality wax, but I have had my back butchered enough to know that it had more to do with the quality / skill of the person using the wax. Furthermore, all of the hair, even the finer, harder to see ones near the top of the back, were completely removed. The only downside (I wouldn't say negative) was that it took longer than usual.
Tips
Take plenty of pain killer about a half an hour before your appointment. If they offer champagne, take it.
