I paid $50 for a back waxing. This was done at a salon that does full hair, nail, spa and waxing services.
Review of Service
The quality was great assuming the fact that it is pretty much impossible to get waxed like this without quite a bit of pain. The waxer was very sympathetic and apologetic and made every attempt she could to try and make it easier. Even when I scheduled the appointment she let me know to trim the hair down, but to keep it a certain length otherwise it would be much harder. Still, it was not a fun experience by any means. It frustrated me too that while the hair did seem to grow back slower, there was still ingrown hairs, which I was hoping to avoid.
Tips
It's hard to give tips on something that is pretty much going to be painful for any guy who has to endure it. I did it for my girlfriend before we went on vacation, but have since vowed that I would never do it again. I guess my biggest tip is just to embrace yourself for some pain, and potential bleeding. Or just consider shaving with a razor yourself (or with your significant other to help with your back), you will save a lot of money and get very similar results.
