My husband got his back waxed at a salon. The total was $100 and he did not tip. He didn't realize he was supposed to. So the total was $100.

My husband did this as a favor to me and he was very unhappy with the experience. I'm not sure if this was because the experience was really that terrible or if he just went into it in a mood that would have made it impossible to please him. It was quite painful and the skin afterwards looked terrible. It was hairless but it was also really raw looking. There was even blood in some areas. I'm not sure if this is normal because we've never had this done before or after but it certainly kept him from doing it again. The people I made the appointment with were very nice. I told them it was his first time and they gave me tips to have him take a pain killer an hour before he had the procedure done. Again, we don't know if this helped as we hadn't used the service before.

This is as painful as they make it sound. Be sure that you're prepared for this. Try to take some pain killers before you're having the procedure.
