the Price of Dog Grooming at a Local Groomer

I took two of my dogs in to get groomed a few times a year. It covers bathing, brushing, nail clipping, and the Furminator treatment. I have pugs which shed a ton and the Furminator is a special treatment and brush that eliminates more than the average amount of hair. Each of my dogs was at the grooming salon for two hours a piece.

It was my first experience taking my dogs into this groomer but I couldn't have been more pleased. The groomer only takes one dog at a time and can out to personally speak with me about my concerns and what I expected. I was told what was included in the price and when I went back to pick up my dog - a few extra services had been thrown in that weren't charged to me. I was told how long I could expect the Furminator treatment to last and how well my dogs did during the service. I was also told some concerns that the groomer had and how I could treat the problem at home. I wasn't pressured to return the next month for follow up service either.

I think it takes a while to find a groomer that performs all the services that you need and where your pet will be comfortable. It seems like some places are just in a hurry to get your pet in and out and make money off of you. Since my pets are important to me - I need someone that will take the time to treat them as such.
