Description of service
This service was to have my dog bathed, blow dried, fur clipped, ears cleaned, and nails trimmed. The service was about 1-1/2 hours. Time was allotted after service for my dog to completely dry as blow drying does completely dry the fur.
Review of Service
An appointment was required for service. While making the appointment you are explained what they do and how they do it. Also, you are told you do not have to stay but are welcome to. They greeted my dog with a friendly demeanor, rubs, and affection. They took his lead and led him to the kennel area. They bathed him with an oatmeal shampoo to keep his skin moist. The fur around his paws and legs were clipped to help keep it clean and free of debris. As it was coming into winter season they checked his paw pads carefully. He was blown dry with a pooch friendly dryer. It was done in a manor that did not frighten my dog. Two staff members clipped his nails. A third staff member ended up helping because he seemed to really like her and she was able to keep his attention well. This third staff member stayed with him while he got his ears cleaned as well. He was beautiful when I picked him up and he made a host of new friends. I really liked the fact that the one staff member who was actually the manager for the entire store (the grooming area is a small fraction) stayed with him when she realized he took to her. She greeted me as his "mom" and gave him belly rubs before telling him good-bye.
Tips
The biggest advice I can give anyone about this service is to ask questions about what they do and how they do it. Additionally, ask about where your pet will be located while he/she is not directly with the staff. Ask what kind of credentials or years of service in the grooming field they have. If you get any hesitations, find another groomer.
