Description of service
I took a three hour beginning pottery class at a local community college. It cost $85.00 and that included all materials.
Review of Service
This was a good class. It lasted 3 hours. The whole class was very hands on. We all had our own wheels to use. There was about an hour and a half of class and then a 20 minute break. This was good because it's been awhile since I've been in school and I needed a few minutes to clear my head. By the time we were done we all had a completed bowl. They still had to be fired but we got to come pick them up the next weekend. I really learned a lot and the instructor was great. She works as an art teacher at the community college during the week. The weekend pottery class was for non-students and was used as a fund raiser for the school.
Tips
Your local community colleges probably have all kinds of classes like this. They're usually pretty cheap and a great way to meet new people and gain new interests. If you take a class like this be prepared to just let go and enjoy yourself. It's okay to be out of your comfort zone a little bit.
