Description of service

Last summer we sent my daughter to pottery classes during the summer. She went every Tuesday for 2 hours (from 2-4) and the four week class cost $100.00. In addition to this cost we also paid around $20.00 for materials. Her class was for children and the ages ranged from 7-14. There were around 20 people in her class. Her teacher was a college art teacher who was off work for the summer. We also gave her a tip of $10.00 at the end of the classes. They were taught in a studio in her home.

Review of Service

She had a really great time in that class. The teacher was very patient and thorough. As you can imagine there was a lot of hands on instruction but they also got a heavy dose of art history - specifically in pottery. The kids all got a 10 minute break after an hour where they could eat a snack they brought from home.

Tips

I think the most important thing is to find a place where you can get to know the teacher. Especially if the class is for your child. Make sure it's someone you feel comfortable taking care of your child. Also I thought the class size was about perfect. There were enough other kids that they were able to make new friends but not so many that they couldn't get individual instruction.
