Description of service

I love pottery and ceramics and have always been intrigued in how they make them. Signing up for the classes was a way to reward myself for surviving yet another baseball season with my sons. $100 included 4 Saturdays of classes and tons of very unique pieces designed and painted by me. For an additional amount of money (prices varied) you could purchase an already made piece and paint it yourself.

Review of Service

I absolutely loved these classes, although I have absolutely no future at all in designing pottery. It was somewhat akin to making mud pies as a kid, although this was a grown up version. There were many different examples on display to use as inspiration in designing your own, but it was very obvious that these displays were not constructed by anyone taking classes.

While I don't know if I would necessarily take any more pottery classes here, I would definitely buy some unfinished pieces and paint them. You are still allowed control in how the finished pieces look and still get to exhibit some of your creativity.

Tips

Don't expect to go into a beginner (or even intermediate) class and walk out with a masterpiece. This is something to do for fun and very few people will end up with items worthy of being sold to anyone but maybe sympathetic family members.
