Description of service
In my seemingly never ending quest to get my mouth under control, I had to get some bonding to take care of a cavity in my right front upper teeth. Cost of $285 went entirely for time and materials.
Review of Service
My appointment was for 5:15, and I was in the chair by 5:20, which is not too bad. After getting multiple shots of Novocaine (at times I think my dentist owns stock in the company the way he goes through it), he drilled out the affected area, and replaced it with the material for the teeth bonding. He then shined the high intensity light in order to set the bonding material and harden it. He then further used the drill in order to smooth the surface out and remove any irregularities. It was completely painless, and took only about 40 minutes.
Tips
Be sure to talk to your dentist about the procedure, as the first time I had it done I was startled a little bit by the light and did not understand what it was for. He now explains any new procedures to me prior to doing them, not that there are many new procedures left for me at this point. Also keep your eyes closed, cause the high intensity light is a bit offputting.
