Description of service
I had an eye tooth bonded to reshape and change the color. I had a small gap between two teeth and the dentist was able to build up the tooth to minimize the space; it's hardly noticeable now. The dentist used a composite material. My tooth was prepped by etching with a very mild solution, then the first layer of the composite material was painted on and hardened using a special light. Several layers are added and hardened before the final shaping is done with regular dental tools. The entire procedure took about 45 minutes and was almost painless. There is no additional maintenance required; it?s treated just like my other teeth.
Review of Service
I was very pleased with the service and the final results. This was a quick and easy fix to a problem that you might be embarrassed about. It is well worth the cost and time spent since you can expect it last about 10 years.
Tips
Check with your dentist to see if he does bonding; how long he has performed this prcedure and ask if there are some recent patients you can contact for their opinion on the procedure. You might also want to ask what is involved in the procedure. Mine was correctable in just one visit, however if you have several teeth that need attention, it might take more visits.
