Among the many dental services that I have had done is tooth bonding. During this procedure the dentist will numb the area and remove decay as they would for any filling. They then use a composite resin, as opposed to the traditional silver filling to repair the cavity, which has the added benefit of lasting longer and being able to be colored to match the shade of the tooth so it looks completely natural. A high intensity light gun is then used to set the resin, so that it is ready to be used in the tooth immediately.
Review of Service
My dentist acted at all times in a professional manner, with a minimal wait time in the waiting room and the appointment started relatively promptly. Since my dentist is a firm believer in the excess use of Novocaine I felt no pain. I am quite happy with the results, as it was the front of my front tooth, and it looks perfectly natural.
Tips
As with any dental procedure, make sure that you are comfortable with the dentist, and that he is covered under your insurance plan if you have any. Also, as a courtesy, I always like to have my teeth well brushed before seeing the dentist.
