I recently was put in charge of assisting with my niece's outdoor wedding and the following dinner. We had the event catered, but we still had to rent chairs, tables, and a huge canopy. The $700 included the price to rent all that we needed (chairs, tables, canopy) plus there was a $200 deposit tacked on that we received back after we returned the items, bringing the price down to $500.
Review of Service
Although the company delivered the items to the wedding site, we were responsible for setting it all up, including the pain in the rear canopy. We also were responsible for taking all of the items down and calling the company to pick them up afterwards. Next time, however, I will pay the $50 or so extra to have the company set the stuff up and take them down. I never want to deal with stabilizing a canopy again!
Tips
Ask around and see if anyone else has used a particular company. If nobody you know has had a wedding, for example, find out who they used for a party you know that they had recently. We actually found our supplies at a company that rents everything from machinery to moving vans, so call whatever names and numbers are given to you, no matter how crazy it may sound.
