Although some wedding locations provide event materials, our facility did not and we had to rent everything from a local vendor. The total cost for the rental was $750 and it included 15 round tables that sat 8 guests each, the head table to seat 10, 130 chairs, a gift table, a cake table, place settings and glassware for each seat, silverware, and tablecloths.

Renting tables and place settings for a large event is not complicated, but selecting the colors, patterns, and other details is an important part of the visual picture that comes across at a wedding. We talked with three rental companies and looked at their options before we signed a contract, and in the end, we were very happy with their good customer service and their delivery, set up, and pick up of the materials. The prices were comparable at all of the rental companies, so it was fair in our opinion, and the service was without any problems. They handled everything in a timely manner and made sure that we didn't have to worry or spend any time dealing with issues related to the set up of the reception area.

Add an extra 10 percent to the number of chairs and place settings that you rent so that you can accommodate any unexpected guests or at least have additional room and not have to worry about seating issues. Also, you should feel comfortable depending a bit on the rental company to provide advice and guide you to having the right items at your event.
