Description of service
My car may only be a 2000 but it has over 100,000 miles so it has been needing some serious repairs for a while. I wasn't sure how serious although I suspected it was something wrong with the transmission. I'm by no means a car or engine expert, but I was surprised to hear that it would cost me $1100 to replace my transmission. I took the car in and told them the symptoms of the car and they diagnosed it after looking under the hood and listening to the engine for a minute. It was kind of like a doctor appointment. I then made an appointment to come back a week later to get it repaired. I did have one other location look at the car but they wanted a couple hundred more dollars so I went with the cheaper of the two. Plus I'm comfortable with the shop.
Review of Service
They got the part in and had me bring my car in about a week after they checked out the car and I was without my car for about 5 days. My husband and I could carpool so we dealt. When I picked up the fixed car it ran like a new car. I hope not to need another new transmission for this car again since it has so many miles on it. Great service. Expensive cost.
Tips
Like most car repairs don't expect to get a good deal because all repairs are expensive especially one such as this. Get a couple quotes and dive in.
