The cost of replacing your transmission can be very expensive. The average price is usually about $1500 and thats for a rebuilt transmission.Some of the first signs that your transmission is going out is your car not shifting into second gear quietly or smoothly. Although when my transmission went out, it gave me no warning at all. I was driving and merging onto a busy highway and then all of a sudden my car would not shift into second gear, I couldn't go above 25 miles per hour on a busy freeway. So, if you have any warning signs, go to a repair shop as soon as possible before its too late. It cost me $1500 and 3 days without my vehicle. I shopped around a few different places and that was about the average price for that type of repair.

The service I received was pretty good, although I was not happy paying so much, that was the going rate with all the repair centers near by. They preformed the service and in the amount of time that they said they would, so over all it was fair.
