Description of service
I seem to get my car stereo stolen about once every 12 months because I was working in a really bad area of Oakland. This is obviously very frustrating and at some point, I'm going to just quit having a stereo. Or else get a really really good alarm system!
Anyway, for this installation, I bought the stereo at a big chain store, but they couldn't install it for several days and I wanted to find somewhere closer. I went to a little ghetto hole in the wall shop and they did it for me for $50 in an hour.
Review of Service
The installation went very well and I have no complaints at all! Most of my friends would not have set foot in this little shop for various reasons, including the neighborhood that it was in, but it was broad daylight and I felt pretty safe. They did not speak much English but when I show up with a gaping hole in my dashboard and a stereo in my hand, it's pretty obvious what I needed done. They were quick and professional, and it was a decent rate.
Tips
If you're buying a stereo from someone offering free installation, don't forget to ask when they can install it. If it's free but you have to go back there, the price of gas may really cause it to add up!
