Description of service
The highest price ended up being the parts themselves. Originally, when it was to be installed in a 1997 Geo Prizm, the parts cost about $50 total. When I changed the car it was being installed in, the price went up about $50 for parts, plus they charged extra labor for wiring through the trunk. It was rather ridiculous.
Review of Service
I think they did a good job installing the stereo, but I did have a problem with it. About a week after getting it installed, I noticed that when I tried to listen to the FM stations, they weren't coming through. This hadn't been an issue before I installed the new stereo. I did take it back, was told that they didn't connect the antenna cable properly, and so it was connected. It's still not working, so I have to go back again. Honestly, I think the only good thing about the whole installation was it didn't take a terribly long time. I was upset they removed my car seat without asking. Honestly, I think this was a terrible price for the service, and I don't think I'll be returning to this particular place of business.
Tips
I think that before getting a stereo installation, you should compare prices at different places. We were locked into a certain place because it was part of a special, but in the end it wasn't worth it. I wish I had known that you could just get a refund on the "special installation price' and go to a different business, which I will definitely be doing next time.
