Description of service
The $40 was to install an after-market car CD deck. This was added to the cost of the deck itself and did not include the price of the wires and "installation kit" (these things cost about $50). The guy said it was going to take an hour but I watched him do it in less than 20 minutes.
Review of Service
I can't say I had a great experience considering how much I spent on the radio and then having all of those fees tacked on at the last minute. There were no signs or anything that it was going to cost that much just to install the thing so I wish they had been more upfront about the installation costs. Plus, the guy said it was going to take an hour but I watched him do it in less than 20 minutes.
Tips
It's probably much better obviously if you know how to install the radio yourself - it'll save you much more time and money. The other thing is to definitely check on how much installation will be right away, otherwise you may be stuck with more fees. Check online to see if they have the model you want for your model car and you might be able to find a guide on how to do it.
