Description of service
I had to have my transmition taken out and rebuilt then put back in. It would not shift into reverse and was leaking really bad. It was burning through seals which was only making the leak worse. The reapir shop took out the old transmition and rebuilt it using some new part, I don't know the names of them though. they then put it back into the car and it ran fine after that. This had to be done at about 150,000 miles. I think that is a pretty good transmition to last that long.
Review of Service
I was happy with the service. I called around to several shops and they were all in the $1,000-$1,500 range. I choose this one because they offered a warranty on their work and they were willing to get to it faster so it made it worth the extra money. The car was ready when they said it would be and they didn't try to jack up the price.
Tips
I recommend calling several shops. Ask the price but then ask when they will be able to get to the car. Also, ask how long the repair will take. It may be worth and extra one or two hundred dollars to you to get the car fixed faster or you may be able to save a little and wait a while if you have other transportation.
