Description of service
The entire procedure included pre-op health screening in an associated health clinic. This screening is similar to a mini-physical, just to make sure all is well prior to the surgery. Also, the surgeon conducted a pre-op exam a week before the actual surgery. The eye examination was quite specific as it included measurements for the lens implant and actual prescription for the lens itself. Eye drops were included with directions to use them. Additional prescriptions were provided for use after the surgery. On the day of the surgery, spent an hour prepping for surgery. The actual surgerry itself took less then 5 minutes. Spent 30 minutes to one hour in recovery post op, then returned home. No driving on the day of the surgery. Very important to follow specific directions for prescription eye drops.
Review of Service
The service provided was excellent. This is a top-notch facility, all procedures took place in one building, so there was no travelling from the doctor's office to a hospital for the procedure. The professional and support staff were very easy to work with. All of the staff, including the surgeon, were kind and caring. It's obvious that their first priority is their patient. I would definitely recommend this practice to other patients.
Tips
If you have cataracts and need surgery, ask for referrals from your optician, friends, and family. Be sure to look for a surgeon who has successfully completed a large number of similar procedures and who is aware of all the current equipment and trends. The surgery itself is painless, and there may be some discomfort afterwards. You will be amazed at how clear your vision will be after you have thiss proceduree.
