Description of service
This appointment was for a vision examination with a general eye health check up, prescription glass purchase (optional). They also do Contact lens recommendations and Laser (lasik) eye surgery
Review of Service
The wait time is very less during weekdays - the whole thing can wind up in 30 minutes from start to finish.
The doctors were very well informed and answered questions patiently and in detail. The nurses and people in the reception area are friendly and accommodating. There are of course several forms to fill before you get started and it would help if you check with your health insurer before you step into the clinic. One call is all that takes to check if you are covered appropriately.
Tips
1. Try to get an appointment during a weekday - lunch-hour, etc.
2. Call your insurer in advance to check whats covered and what you're responsible for
3. Write all your questions on a piece of paper and remember to ask the doctor.
4. Avoid eye make up on the day you go for the vision exam - this can irritate the eye, and might cover some spots / inflammations that the ophthalmologist could otherwise spot.
Be prepared for a sales talk about why its better to buy lens or spectacles right then and there.
Also, take recommendations for Lasik surgery with a pinch of salt. Get at least two independent opinions before you choose any major option. Also, if you need financing, get independent third party financing instead of the one associated with the clinic.
