Description of service
The lessons are for my daughter, who just started taking the cello. We decided to get her lessons because she really seemed to be enjoying it. The lessons are with a professional musician, and last 45 minutes each session. The cost is for one session. During the session, the tutor will work with my daughter, showing her techniques, and correcting any mistakes she makes in grip or form. The instructor then gives my daughter two sheets of music to practice during the week in order to help reinforce the lesson of the day.
Review of Service
The instructor is very strict, but fair. Not overly friendly, they are still very good at what they do. They will call my daughter on when she doesn't practice during the week, but does a good job of teaching her the fundamentals to make her play to the best of her ability. The instructor is always very punctual, and starts and ends the lessons on time.
Tips
If you are going to pay for lessons, make sure that the child really wants them, and that they are willing to practice, otherwise it is a waste of both time and money. Be sure to try to make the rehearsal times planned into the week, so that it becomes part of the routine.
